Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a comprehensive medically supervised outpatient program designed to help improve the health and well being of individuals with heart and lung disease . The program consists of physician prescribed exercise, education, and psychosocial support. People with many types of heart disease can benefit from a cardiac rehabilitation program including those individuals who have had a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, valve surgery, angioplasty, angina, cardiac stents, heart transplant, and heart failure. The pulmonary rehabilitation program is designed to help individuals with pulmonary diseases including COPD, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary sarcoidosis, and other pulmonary diseases.
